We spent a weekend camping at Pokagon with my parents and sisters. We attempted to take a new family photo. This one turned out pretty good other than the spotty shadows.
Family picture back on a trail. Not the best, but at least the older 2 are looking at the camera!
Jesse down at the Spring Shelter. He enjoyed running on the rocks.
Samantha chills out in the stroller while Jesse and Dad read about the history of Hell's Point.

Jesse hiking with Grandpa.
A look back down the stairs from the top of Hell's Point. There's like 80-some stairs to climb! It was quite the hike with a 12 lb sleeping baby strapped to the front of me!
We apparently wore Jesse out and failed to put him to bed at a reasonable time. It's hard to tell from this angle, but his legs are up in the air b/c the pillow is folded in half. What a weird way to sleep!
Samantha too was exhausted and fell asleep in my lap!
About a week after going to the canal with Jake we spent an afternoon at the Providence Dam near Grand Rapids. We ate a picnic lunch and then the boys wandered out in the middle of the Maumee River. Due to the lack of rain, it was pretty easy to get out in the middle!
a little closer shot with of Jesse waving
strolling out in the middle

While Jesse walked with Dad out across the river, Sis stayed up on the sidewalk with Mom
Sis the "telemarketer". She'll talk on the phone like crazy when noone is on the other end, but when Grandma wants to talk to her she just listens and stares!
My little "knight in shining armor". (aka a wooden home-made sword and a velcro ball catcher )
Jesse and I have enjoyed watching the Hummingbirds all summer long. We have 3 of them that like to play tag with each other. We've been trying all summer to get a picture of one and we finally succeeded. Here is one in mid-air!
2 pictures actually........here it is at our feeder.
